Hello, I'm Krystal Baker, the proud owner of Specialized Hearing Solutions, serving the Taylorville, Shelbyville, and surrounding communities. With 15 years of experience in healthcare, I am both a National Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist and a Licensed Practical Nurse.

 

As a lifelong resident of Taylorville, I began my journey into the workforce at age 15 through a school-to-work program at THS. I had the opportunity to engage with the local business community through networking events and Chamber of Commerce activities. Now, two decades later, I am honored to own a thriving business in my hometown and serve as President of the Greater Taylorville Chamber of Commerce . Taylorville's supportive community fosters entrepreneurship, and I am grateful to contribute to its vibrancy by participating in community events and supporting local businesses.

 

In 2020, I founded SHS with a vision to offer exceptional hearing care and comprehensive education at an affordable price point, driven by my observation that many individuals lacked clarity about their hearing loss and its implications. I wanted to be able to work with different brands of hearing aids to provide my patients with the best chance of success for their needs, rather than being locked into a franchise or one brand. My goal was to break free from the limitations imposed by brand loyalty and instead focus on finding the perfect solution for each individual's unique requirements. I prioritize creating a welcoming and pressure-free environment where individuals can seek guidance without feeling nervous or obligated. That's why initial consultations are always complimentary.

 

At Specialized Hearing Solutions, my motto is "Familiar Challenges-Specialized Solutions." When a patient steps into my practice, they receive my full attention and unwavering dedication. I take pride in guiding patients from their initial phone call, through every step of their hearing care journey. From their first visit and hearing test to comprehensive education, exploring hearing solutions, and ongoing support, my commitment extends beyond the fitting of hearing aids. It's about building lasting relationships and ensuring my patients feel empowered and supported not just during the fitting process, but throughout their entire experience with SHS. Their hearing health is my priority, and I'm a support system every step of the way.
